Minecraft: Some really good Seeds

Hey guys, I found some great Minecraft Seeds in which you have beautiful Caves and mountains.
Give them a try, on our server (which you see in the Rollercoaster video) we use "Davinci Code".

I actually dont know how these Seeds work, I think these are some parameters which generate the world. You can type in what you want, for example: "blogger" and the game is generating your world.
Anyway the world for "blogger" will be on every Computer the same.

Seeds can be entered when you're going to create a new World in the Single Player.
So this is a little picture of the Blogger-generated World:

(not really interesting ;-))

  4. I really like the seed system that Notch implemented. I've gotten some pretty crazy spawns out of it! I'll have to try the ones you've mentioned in your post.

  5. imagine the algorithm that generates minecraft maps being simplified to an equation, such as x^2*5-29 = map, x would be the seed.

  6. I sort of understand what is going on here - thanks for posting the seeds. Solidacid - your explanation helps me a little, but i think I'll need to try it for myself.

  9. I had one that it was pretty random, it was something like givemecookiesbitch or something like that, and I was spawned in a place really dark, but it wasn't a cave, there were only a lot of land floating xD
